Maroon Route

This picturesque and highly enjoyable route takes us along a pretty, dry riverbed and then up into the mountains to about 400m above sea level, from where we can marvel at the fabulous views across the surrounding mountains and valleys. In places it's a steep climb amongst the esparto grass-covered hills, but still only "moderate" difficulty.

Walking time: Approx. 2-2.5 hours

Ascent: Approx. 280 m

Difficulty: Moderate

Participants must be confident, have a decent level of fitness and able to walk on rough ground

Hotel pick-up and drop-off included (Vera Playa / Mojácar Playa area)

Pick-up time: Approximately 7:30 am

Return time: Approximately 1:30 pm

What to bring/wear: Comfortable clothing, sturdy walking shoes or boots, hat, suncream and water
